Settled in 1639, I am a city at the Southern end of Aquidneck Island, and I have my own county named after me. I also have a bridge named after me. Do you?
Tourists come to see me almost year-round, and they come from many different states and countries. I have more to do here than most people could accomplish in several years. I am home to Salve Regina University , the International Tennis Hall of Fame , and many other establishments worth visiting. Right down the road at the border of Middletown one can find the beautiful campus of St. George's School . I have several public and private beaches, and several marinas where residents and tourists alike set sail every day. There are many fine restaurants and bars to visit here, including The Brick Alley Pub , Scales and Shells , and The White Horse Tavern .
I am adjacent to Middletown, and not much further down route 114 or 138 are my good friends Portsmouth and Bristol. I am about 25 minutes away from Providence. Come visit sometime, you'll be glad you did!
