About Me

Hello you. I'm a lawyer living in Newcastle who bashes out a few beats on the drums when i get the opportunity. My current musical vehicle is STAT! Check out /statvibes to get the lowdown on what's going on in with the merry world of STAT! Hopefully tracks will be sorted soon - once cubase decides to start working and stop being so f-ing difficult.I have also taken to doing some stand up comedy, well 1 gig at least, but its a start. Went very well as it goes. Might even put it in a blog if i can be bothered.I also have a tendency to come out with loads of crap when i'm a bit worse for wear so if you've ever met the brother of Ricky Wilson or Alex Turner then it could well have been me and i apologise for misleading you. Still, I had a good night!!

My Interests

Gigs, gigging, festivals, comedy and partying.

I'd like to meet:

The head of camelot, armed with a large cheque with my name on it.

Music:

Smiths, Modest Mouse, Pulp, Doves, Libertines, Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, Polyphonic Spree, YCNI:M, Alfie, Arcade Fire, Super Furry Animals, STAT!, Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Giant Drag, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Peter Bjorn and John, Belle & Sebastian, Maximo Park, Art Brut, We Are Scientists, The Blood Arm, Young Knives, Aim, Bonobo, Chemical Brothers, David Holmes, The Cure, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci,MASS, Sons & Daughters, Specials, The Bees, Go Team, The Shins, Thirteen 13 and My Life Story who incidentally were superb at the Astoria on the 8th of Dec. Sex & Violins should be in everyone's lives but that's just my humble opinion.

Movies:

Particularly interested in anything directed by Shane Meadows and/or starring Paddy Considine. Last film i saw that i particularly enjoyed was V for Vendetta. Also like the cheesyness and style of the Breakfast Club - an 80's classic.

Television:

Life On Mars, The Manageress, The Crystal Maze, Shameless, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Men Behaving Badly to name a few.

Books:

Anything by John Irving.

Heroes:

Daniel Kitson - The funniest comic that i have ever seen and a hugely interesting man even when he's not speaking!!
