Fun new people, by way of great adventure, lightning bolt, etc.
I've been introduced to a lot of new music lately. I am blessed with diverse friends. Just recently discovered Nathan Asher and the Infantry, they are kick ass performers. I always have love for Jump Little Children, Jet's still in my cd player a lot, and that song Wagon Wheel that's about Raleigh is always in my head. Well that and Queen's "I'm going slightly mad". Oh, QUEEN, I forgot to mention QUEEN! It just doesn't get any better than Queen.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith is one of those movies that I had to keep my legs crossed during, had to have a cigarette after, and couldn't stop talking about for days.
Christina:"You are eight feet tall. Your boobs are perfect. Your hair is down to there. If I was you I would just walk around naked all the time. I wouldn't have a job, I wouldn't have any skills, I wouldn't even know how to read. I would just be... naked." "C.J. Where was the one where Roberto Benigni pushed me into this swimming pool?MANDY That was Larry Posner’s house, but that was the old place. C.J....if it gets a vote then isn’t it worth it?C.J. Which would be fine if Roberto Benigni can vote in our elections, but since he’s Italian, that makes me a six foot wet girl in a Donna Karan dress."Richard: Focus, please. Lorelai: I am a camera.
I am crawling my way through The Once and Future King. It's a strange, strange book. Really into Tom Robbins right now, I finished Skinny Legs and All, and I'm paused in the middle of both Still Life with Woodpecker, and Another Roadside Attraction. John Irving's one of my favorites, and Stephen Dunn writes poetry that I connect with in a big way. Oh, yeah, and J.K. Rowling. Love me some Harry Potter. What else . . . I did the Celestine Prophecy thing . . . Alexander Dumas is a genius . . . so is Virginai Wolf . . . Gotta love Lord of the Rings. I have the complete works of both Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde on my book shelf, they count as books, right? Do they count as my heroes or my inspirations?
Carmen, my mom, Maggie, my Grandmother, Steph and JoJo, Audrey Hepburn, Katharine Hepburn, Rita Hayworth, Micah, umm . . .
