About Me

IT ALL STARTED with a basement banger in Pittsburgh PA about 15 years ago. A moment where addictive beats met funk and Jason Balance discovered a newfound love: House. Toning his DJ’ing skills, he then moved to Florida in ‘95 with nothing but the desire to make people dance. Spending time in both Miami and Jacksonville, he held residencies at Club 5 and The Atlantic, gaining notoriety as an artist, DJ and promoter alike; hosting parties which brought in artists like Tommie Sunshine, The Crystal Method, Donald Glaude, RHV, and Ferry Corsten to name a few. Eager to expand the awareness and become more involved in the growth of House music, he moved North to NY’s Capital District Region in the latter part of 2005. In less than a year he has certainly made himself a name and a home in Ny's music scene. Whether spinning on any given night, at the infamous RISE events for which he holds a residency, or promoting an upcoming event hosted by The District: a group which he helped establish consisting of the region’s hottest House DJ’s collaborating in everything from massive parties to musical artistry. His first CD release “Counter Space: Clean Living in Difficult Circumstances” was heavily downloaded and has received acclaim from both the dedicated lovers of House Music as well as creating new ones. His next CD “Makin Ends Meet” is expected to release in early 2007. Also just in time for the new year will be several solo and collaborative remixes which are currently in the works. With his obsession for constantly finding new music and the ability to adapt to the tastes of any audience, his unpredictable sets will not only keep you guessing, but asking for more. He rocks the crowd with his high energy while manning the decks with intuitive beats and breaks which can easily make the people on the dance floor stay there all night long. By combining sheer talent and a passion for music itself, while maintaining the ability to adapt to this constantly changing genre of music and the scene in which it lives, somewhere there lays the perfect Balance.
