Maryanne Murphy

Maryanne Murphy has been knockin' around Nashville for the past 15 years, living a sometimes difficult yet blessed life, and writing songs from deep within her heart. All of her song ideas are fueled by her own observations and experiences. In her own personal life, she has been led through a journey of happiness, love, pain, and loss, time and time again. And although the journey continues to this day, Maryanne still has it in her heart to love and be loved, to keep the good Lord in her heart, to be kind to people and to be true to herself. She's been able to rise above many obstacles and learn from them. Those obstacles eventually become the inspiration for many of these songs she writes. Although songwriting has become therapeutic for her as well, Maryanne stays true to her own form. She refuses to compromise her talent for any musical trends or for a certain style of songwriting. In the purest form, she writes what she feels, what she believes and what she truly experiences. Originally from Boston Massachusetts, Maryanne came to Nashville looking to start a new life for her and her family. She also wanted to pursue her budding songwriting skills, and to tell her stories through songwriting. She knew there was no place greater to be than Nashville Tennessee. That was the obvious place for the ambitious singer/songwriter to hone their craft and grow as a writer. It has always been her dream to live in Nashville, and to write and sing her songs. The dream hasn't always been pleasant getting there, but she also knows life has lots of turns and detours. The truth of the matter is, Maryanne has been living life exactly how God meant it to be, and certainly you can hear it in her songs.
