Anthropic Records

Anthropic Records was originally formed in summer of 07' to help our friends put out their first cd. Honestly, thats how it all started! Evan was recording Cloud Minder and we sat at home one night and said, "why don't we try and put out the cd for them...hey, why not...we could do it". So, we did. We saw something special in our friends, Cloud Minder, and we wanted them to be able to have an album released to use for promo and sales and whatnot. The whole premise was to support a band that we totally believed in so that they could grow and we could grow.
Thus, Anthropic Records was formed.
After almost a full year, we are working on some new projects. Anthrosphere Volume I should be out by the end of the month. Anthrosphere Volume I is a compilation we put together with our friend Alex of 8th Sphere Records (and Sil Veth). The comp includes all local underground metal. Sil Veth, The Green Evening Requiem, Monolith, Woe, Lethean and, Bereavement are all showcased on the comp. We want to continue putting out these comps, possibly with various other labels, to showcase different genres of hard working bands in our area. The more promo we all can get, the further along we are. Its all warm and fuzzy isn't it? Ha ha...
Look for more from us in the near future. Its a struggle to do anything now-a-days (financially speaking..) but, our hearts are totally in this. We hope you try to check out some of the music/artists we work with. ENJOY!
