Phunkthouse is more of a family than a record company. But since we do produce hits, we don't mind the name "indie label". Started in 2000 by President, founder and client, RV (a.k.a. Villa or Coach), who just wanted to make a place where he could openly and FREELY (artisticly and finacially) express himself. Thus the pH was born. Now here in 2006, pH has grown into a full fledged powerhouse, and is know all over the great state of AZ as a class act.

Trying to explain what Phunkthouse is to someone who has never been to a pH show or never heard a pH song, is a bit like trying to explain what a particular color looks like to someone who is blind. In this section you will find the peripheral definitions of what the label is as a whole, but to truly understand it, one must participate. This bio serves as a canvas for a painted picture of the Phunkthouse experience to those who are new to the project! Phunkthouse artists, friends and families are a ..1 priority! The pH is an environment which allows artists/people to connect to their fellow community members, for no other reason than the celebration of life, love and music!

And the Phunkthouse was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of Villa moved upon the face of the audio.
And RV said, Let there be sounds: and there was sounds.
And RV heard the sounds, it was good: and RV divided the sounds from the silence.
And RV called the sounds light, and the silence darkness. Making sounds from the silence was the first day.
And RV said, Let there be rhyme in the midst of, lessons and teachings, and let it divide the good from the great.
And RV made the rhyme, and divided the good which were under the rhyme from the great which were above the rhyme: and it was so.
And RV called the great, Phunkthouse. And the good and the great were the second day.
And RV said, Let the rhyming under the Phunkthouse be gathered together unto one place, and let the greats appear; and it was so.
And RV called the good the Otherside; and the gathering together of the greats, he called the Phunkthouse: and RV saw that it was good.
And RV said, Let the Stump bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the bud tree yielding fruity nugs of all kind(s), whose seed is in itself, within the rhyme: and it was so.And the Stump brought forth the grass, and the herb yielding seed of all kind(s), and the tree yielding fruity nugs, whose seed was in itself, within the rhyme: and RV saw that it was good.
And the Stump and the seed were the third day.
And RV said, Let there be Saints in the sounds of the Phunkthouse to divide the great from the greatest; and let them rhyme for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
And let them be for lights in the sounds of the Phunkthouse to give light upon the Otherside: and it was so.
And RV made two great friends; the greater Saint to rule the rhyme, and the lesser Stump to rule the rhythm : he made the Stars also.
And RV set them in the sounds of the Phunkthouse to give teaching and lessons upon the earth,
And to rule over the hate and over the turmoil, and to divide the peace from the chaos: and RV saw that it was good.
And the rhyme and the rhythm were the fourth day.
And RV said, Let the rhythm bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and rhyme that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of Phunkthouse.
And RV influenced a great A2daJ, and every living creature that moveth, which the rhythm brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every rhyming fool after his kind: and RV saw that it was good.
And RV blessed them, saying, Be skillful, and multiply, and fill the earth in the great teachings and lessons, and let rhymesayers multiply in the earth.
And A2daJ and the rhymesayers were the fifth day.
And RV said, Let the Phunkthouse bring forth the living hip hop after their own kind, Cali, and McFade, Sketch, G$, J DUB, Lakai, Joquhn Kaspien Moon , and my brother of the flesh, Robin Banx: and it was so.And RV made the beats of the Phunkthouse after his kind, and Stump after his kind, and St. Jerome after his kind, and every thing that rhymeth upon the Phunkthouse after his kind,: and RV saw that it was good.
And RV said, Let us make music in our image, after our likeness: and let it have dominion over the rest of the industry, and over the celebrities, and over the fame, and over all the nations, and over every creeping contract that creepeth upon the earth.
So RV created music in his own image, the spittin image of RV, Stump, St. Jerome, Sketch, A2daj, Cali, McFade, G$, JDUB, Lakai, Abbe Lane, and Robin Banx created Phunkthouse; male and female to be entertained by (then) RV (now all of them).
And RV blessed them, and RV said unto them, Be skillful, and multiply, and dance across the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over fame, and over fortune, and over every living thing that danceth upon the earth.
And RV said, Behold, I have given you a rhyme bearing seed, which is within the heart and soul of all the Phunkthouse, and every head, which is of the Phunkthouse will benefit from this seed.
And to every Othersider of the earth, and to every good vibe of the air, and to every thing that danceth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every piece of what I am.
And RV saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the music and the dancing were the sixth day.
Thus the Phunkthouse and the Greats were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day RV ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And RV blessed the seventh day, and celebrated it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which RV created and made.In a nut shell, it started with RV, then came Stump, then St. Jerome, then A2daj, then Cali, then McFade, then J Kasp, then Confession, then Sketch, then G$, then JDUB, then Lakai, then Robin Banx and last but not least Abbe Lane. From that we have the following groups that have been formed;
RV and Stump together are Working Class Zeros.
RV, Stump, and St. Jerome together are Spittin Image.
A2daJ and Cali together are Influenced Influence (I2).
Cali, McFade, and Stump together are No Real Name,
and G$ and J DUB together are $2BILL
All joined together like Voltron, we make one mean entertainment extravaganza!!!
