I grew up in Hawai'i and graduated from Kahuku High School in 1998. After graduation I spent some time moving and travelling and ended up in Portland, OR. For the next several years I worked as a Professional Ski Patrol at Mt Hood....and that is when I realized my passion: Music. After discovering my love for songwriting I began to write more and more and just picked up the guitar one day and taught myself to play. Although not formally educated in music I have learned enough to accompany myself on both guitar and piano, writing all my own material as well as preforming. Music is my passion and life my muse.
I started recording my album in June 2005 and it was released on September 10th,2005. I hope to use my music to support my other passion: the needs of Inner City Youth. I am in my last year at Portland State University double majoring in Psychology and Black Studies. So I hope that one day I can use my music to support what I like to think of as the "cause". There is a passion and energy that is untouched by the confines of society and it is the essence of what brings about change if we only accept and engourage it. Their art and music are beautiful and should not be considered vandalism of speech but expression of art...no one sees their talents or ambitions as something positive and good....it's about time that we start supporting our youth and recognizing their abilities and passions. That is my aspiration. The world should a a pallate for expression of all types!!
