Musically, I grew up on Motown. My mom always had me dancing and jamming to the Supremes, Jackson 5, lionel richie, etc etc. So there is definitely respect for the oldschool. I have a lot of respect and still listen to Teddy P, Sam Cook, The Commodores, and a lot of others that are oldschool. Their vibe back then is something lost now....that will probably not ever come back and it's scary.....Graduating from oldschool to new school i began listening to Michael jackson...HE IS THE MAN....BY FAR....IN ALL ASPECTS....ENTERTAINING, SINGING, PRODUCING..U NAME IT..passed mike i like Musiq Soulchild, floetry, raheim Devaughn, and GINUWINE my cuzn but not cuz he's my cuzn because he's a female magnet and i respect a dude that knows how to appeal to ladies and entertain them well.If i were an entertainer I would follow up in the steps of Ginuwine and Michael and James Brown. In their heyday they were sex symbols and to some still are, however that appeal of sexiness in artist has just plummeted. Artists now couldnt pull a female if they were in a mall if they weren't so famous..but anyway.---------->About the rap game....., I'm from Inglewood, so u know I mess with Tupac, Snoop, Game, EAstsiderz, Westside Connection, Dj Quik, Roger Troutman and Crooked I. When I'm at Hampton University on the EAstcoast I listen to whateva's hot. They got like thousands of artists from the east so I would rather not list them all. But one for sure is JR WRITER AND NAZ....BEAST!!!!
