Raised in New York City, Laura Belle has always known what she’s wanted and how to get it! Born in The Bronx to Dominican parents, Laura was introduced to music at a very young age. "My father was always playing music around the house…everything from The Beatles to Mariah Carey", exclaims the bubbly 16 year old. Although her musical influences include such diverse artists as Christina Aguilera, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Alicia Keys, Billie Holiday, Whitney Houston and Aaliyah, Laura describes her singing style as “Pop & Bâ€-meets-Hip Hop. "My taste in music is varied. I love Pop and R&B and I also grew up around Hip Hop...so I have incorporated those 3 genres into my music as one solid sound."Laura’s love for the stage and performing does not stop at music, she has participated in numerous beauty pageants (her first at the tender age of 3). Classically trained in ballet and acting, she currently attends Fashion Industries High School, majoring in Merchandising/Business, as well as, studying acting at the prestigious Stella Adler Acting Studio in NYC.Laura Belle is the rare embodiment of a student, a visionary and an innovator. At such a young age, she has taken major strides towards securing a long, fruitful career in the entertainment industry. about a year ago, i auditioned to do a voice over for a documentary titled "Very Young Girls" and i got the part! and now, i year later, its finally done and ready for viewers to see!
its a pretty serious documentary which speaks about & takes a deep look into "teenage prostitution" which is currently on the rise in America today.
it follows the lives and has live interviews with young girls who were forced to live such a crazy experience.
i had a great time working with everyone at Swinging T Productions and i am very happy and proud to have been a part of something so great and so moving!please come out and show love @ the IFC Theater located @ 323 6th Ave. - at West 3rd st. this Friday...i think it will be showing for about a week or two..so try to catch it if you can.i'm not sure which screening i will be attending but i will let you all know as soon as i find out! please come out and support the movie/documentary, not for me, but just for the great documentary it is and for the big message behind it...together, we can put a stop to teenage human trafficking.Here's the website of the movie theater: http://www.ifccenter.com/index
