WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT CROWN OF THORNS?
What Happened To That Crown of Thorns?

What happened to that crown of thorns that pierced His blessed head,
The one we should have worn but one He chose to wear instead?
That crown whose thorns still carried stains of royal blood so rare
That DNA can’t match it; there's no sample to compare.
I’d like to think when God looked down upon His suffering Son
And wiped His ageless eyes in sadness at what man had done,
That God retrieved that blood-soaked crown and held it to His breast
So soldiers couldn’t hold it up, make fun of it in jest.
Perhaps God placed that crown of thorns in Heaven’s Trophy Case,
Reserved for things from martyrs who had known God’s special grace,
For Jesus was a martyr, too, the greatest One of all,
For laying down His life in answer to His Father’s call.
Some glorious day, all kings and queens will stand before the throne
From all the ages they’ll be there, the famous, the unknown.
They’ll look upon the Son of God who sits in Mercy’s Seat,
Then bending on their knees, they'll place their crowns at Jesus’ feet.
The faithful come before Him, those who worshipped Him on earth,
All saints since the Creation, all believers since His birth.
And there before the Master, stripped of meaningless façade,
They lay their crowns before Him, this beloved Son of God.
God strides to Heaven’s Trophy Case, removes the crown of thorns,
The one that Jesus wore when He endured those scoffs and scorns.
God lifts it high for all to see; as shouting fills the air,
The wood turns into diamonds, all the thorns to rubies rare.
The saints explode in worship, as the mighty choir sings,
"Hail, hail, our blessed Savior, Lord of Lords and King of Kings,
You're worthy, blessed Jesus, and it's You whom we adore.
All heaven bows before You, You shall reign forevermore!"

CHURCH IS OFTEN DESCRIBED AS A FELLOWSHIP OF FAITH....WITH ITS MEMBERS OFTEN DESCRIBE AS THE SIANTS...THE FAITHFUL....THE WITNESSES....OR THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD....
THE EARLY CHURCHES WERE NOT GOVERNED BY A THOUGHT OUT PLAN....THE ORINGINAL THOUGHT WAS....
....THE CHURCH IS THE ENTIRE BODY OF CHRIST.....
WITH A MISSION TO ACCOMPLISH....AND THE CHURCH FELT FREE TO RESPOND TO THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT....AND TO BUILD ITS STRUCTURE TO FULFILLING ITS RESPONSIBITY....
BUT IF WE ARE TO LOOK AT GRACE....WE WOULD SEE THAT IT HOLDS US TO A HIGHER STANDARD THEN DOES THE LAW OF MOSES....
IF WE TURN OVER TO THE SERMON OF THE MOUNT....WE WOULD SEE THAT JESUS SAID....THAT IF YOU SPEAK AGAINST YOU BROTHER....YOU HAVE COMMITTED MURDER IN YOUR HEART....AND IF YOU LOOK UPON A WOMAN WITH LUST IN YOUR HEART....YOU HAVE COMMITTED ADULTERY WITH HER IN YOUR HEART.....
YOU SEE...GOD HAS GIVEN US THE CHANCE TO WALK AWAY FROM THE CHAINS OF SIN THROUGH HOLINESS.....BUT WE NEGLECT TO DO THAT
GRACE ALLOWS US THE DESIRE TO OBEY...AND THE ABILITY TO OBEY.....
IF WE LOOK AT ALL 7 CHURCHES OF REVEALTIONS....SOMETHING STANDS OUT....WHEN LOOKED AT WHAT JESUS SAID.....HE SAYS THE SAME TO THE ALL
HE SAYS TO THE CHURCH OF PHILADELPHIA
...I KNOW YOUR WORKS.....
EVERY SINGLE CHURCH THAT JESUS REFERED TO...HE SAYS....
...I KNOW YOUR WORK....
CAN I TELL YOU WHAT IT DOES NOT SAY....
...I KNOW YOUR HEART.....
WE HAVE USED THAT PHRASE FOR SO LONG....
'GOD KNOWS MY HEART'
....NO HE ISN'T LOOKING THERE MY FRIENDS....CAUSE HE IS LOOKING AT YOUR WORKS....
HE IS NOT LOOKING AT YOUR INTENSIONS.....OUR WISHES...OUR KNOWLEDGE FOR WHAT IS RIGHT....HE IS LOOKING AT OUR WORKS...CHURCH....
ARE WE ALLOWING THE GRACE OF GOD TO WORK IN OUR LIFE.....OR HAVE WE RECIEVED THE GRACE OF GOD...IN VAIN
WE HAVE BUILT FOR OURSELVES...BIG BUILDINGS WITH CUSION COVERED PEWS....AND CARPET COVERED FLOORS...WE CHRISTIANS...SIT ON PADDED PEWS...LIVING IN LUZURY...WHILE SINNERS SINK INTO HELL
WE SAY WE ARE RICH...BUT WE ARE POOR...SICK....BLIND...AND NAKED
I THANK GOD FOR GREAT PEWS AND AWESOME SOUND SYSTEMS....NOT AT THE COST OF NEGLECTING THE LOST....WE HAVE LAVISHED LUZURY ON THE LIFE BOAT...WHILE PEOPLE DROWN IN MASS AROUND US
WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF.....WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF......WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF WE GATHERED TOGETHER FOR A PRAYER MEETING ALL NIGHT...AND GOD CAME SUDDENLY....
BUT WHAT IF WE SAID.....WE ARE GONNA COME AT A CERTAIN TIME AND WE ARE NOT GONNA LEAVE UNTIL GOD DOES SOMETHING....
WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF....WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I WAS REALLY ON FIRE FOR GOD....
WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I BEGIN TO NOT CARE ABOUT WHAT THE WORLD THOUGHT ABOUT MY LIFE.....

SO THE QUESTION TURNS FROM A INDIVIUAL 'WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF' TO A CORPORATE LEVEL....
WHAT IF THE CHURCH OF CHRIST DECIDED TO MOVE AS ONE WITH GOD....INSTEAD OF ONE WITH MAN...AND WORRY ABOUT ITS OWN NEEDS....
WHAT IF WE DIDN'T CARE HOW LONG WORSHIP GOES....OR HOW LONG I HAVE TO STAND.....TO WORSHIP GOD...WHAT WOULD HAPPEN
WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF WE DECIDED TO LAY EVERYTHING ELSE DOWN...EVERY PRECONCIEVED THING WE KNOW ABOUT GOD.....AND WE WENT AFTER HIM FOR A CHANGE....
MY DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS.....
LETS STOP TALKING ABOUT IT.....SINGING ABOUT IT...PREACHING ABOUT IT.....READING ABOUT......SAYING ABOUT IT...ARGUEING ABOUT IT....LETS JUST DO IT.....
WHAT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT PEOPLE...DO YOU TRUELLY HAVE IT....TO KNOW YOU HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT IS TO MAKE CHOICES THAT MAKE THE WORLD LOOK AT YOU AS IF YOU ARE CRAZY....(LOOK AT ACTS 2...IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME) BUT WE DO NOT CARE CAUSE WE ARE WITH GOD.....
LETS JUST DO IT....LETS JUST FIND OUT WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF.....WHAT IF WE HAD FAITH....OR WE WENT ALONE
WHAT IF WE BOWED BEFORE GOD AND LAYED EVERYTHING BEFORE HIM AND SAID....
'GOD WHAT EVER YOU HAVE...I WANT'
TO LAY DOWN OUR PRECONCIEVED NOTIONS AND IDEAS.....AND MOVE LIKE YOUR SUPPOSE TO MOVE....
WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF WE PREACHED LIKE WE ARE SUPPOSE TO PREACH INSTEAD OF WORRYING ABOUT WHAT OTHERS THINK....
AND WE SAY....
ALRIGHT GOD...WHATEVER YOU HAVE FOR MY LIFE...I WANT IT
AND I DO NOT CARE WHAT IT TAKES TO GET IT
CHURCH WE NEED TO BE MOVED AND GRIPPED BY THE HEART OF GOD.....
THE SAME MOVEMENT THAT NAILED JESUS TO THE CROSS AND MADE HIM BLEED.....THE SAME COMPASSION...THE SAME DESIRE.....THAT PUT JESUS ON THE CROSS....THE SAME LOVE FOR HIS BROTHERS AND SISTERS....THE LOVE THE CHURCH WAS BUILT ON......
TO LOVE OUR NEIGHBORS MORE THEN OURSELVES.....AND IF WE DO...THEN WHY DON'T WE GET OUT OF OUR HOUSE AND WALK NEXT DOOR AND INVITE OUR NEIGHBOR OVER FOR DINNER.....
WHY ARE WE AFRAID TO WITNESS TO OUR NIEGHBOR.....IF WE REALLY LOVED THEM...WE WOULD REACH OUT AND TOUCH THEM.....
ARE YOU DOING WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO DO TODAY........OR WHAT THE WORLD AND SATAN WANTS
Psalms 91
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." 3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

In God’s presence, I am safe and secure, enfolded in love, and completely at peace.
