Coming outta nowhere - straight for your fucken throat! Is this insane piece of hardcore metal known as Demented Martyr!
Hailing in the winter of ’07, sick vox martyr Jack King-Lawless swiftly recruited Bjorn, who had that monster sound on guitar – exactly what was needed! A month blew by and songwriting went crazy along with madly trying to find the perfect drummer and bassist to fit in with the insanity! By a chance meeting, the best drummer hardcore had to offer, Pjacques and technical freak Roland on bass joined and the brutality began… Rising through the ashes of mayhem Demented Martyr was born as the crown prince of Progressive Metalcore!
Finishing up their debut 7 track set-list containing immensely different and complex tunes by November ‘07, they started hitting the stages in January ’08 and proceeded to fuck up everything, everywhere, every time!!! Complete mayhem and chaos in sued, as the demand for shows boomed from the first gig onwards!
From 1 gig a week to 2 gigs to 3 and more Demented Martyr burned a name in the local scene like napalm before the end of February ’08! Sponsorship offers came flying around, studio owners requesting songs to be put on their compilations that’s being punted internationally, requests for songs to be used on X games feature films, ‘Me’ being play listed on Swiss online metal station: xradiostage, advancing to the national semi-final round of the RBF Battle of The Bands, management busy putting together a tour to Australia opening for a high profile band, pre-production for the debut 6 track EP titled: Apex Disillusion (coming soon & supported by a full national tour!!), being selected to compete in the Battle for Devil Driver, going to the number 4 spot on the Myspace Progressive Chart in April ’08 already, Jack himself busy talking to a Florida based band about touring with them in the US in ’09 whilst they punt their debut album … the insanity just keeps growing every day!!! In March ’08 Pjacques decided to quit the band, not a decision taken lightly and for personal reasons and other professional commitments. The NEW beats Morbid Death God was found in the ill Werner and rest assured that the NEW Demented Martyr will take things to yet a higher level!!!
