About Me

Yes We Can Obama! MySpace Layouts Gallery!
Create Your Own Layout Here!
Hey there, my name is PJ . . . I'm 45 years old, married, and have one child of my own, a 24-year-old daughter. She's a very kind, beautiful, hard-working kid, in spite of all my best efforts to spoil her rotten. I literally love her more than life.
I'm into progressive politics, making beautiful gardens, sailing, and swimming every chance I get. Normally, I practically live at the beach in the summer and I have a season pass every year to the waterpark.
I can hardly wait to vote in November! This is the first time in my entire life I've ever been so damned excited about a presidential election! Obama totally gets it! "See them bow their hewads to die as we would bow when they rode by!" (Not literally, of course, but bye-bye Republicans!)
I love to read . . . poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, especially psychology books and books on spirituality and witchcraft. I also love to go to concerts. If I were a cartoon character, I would have to be Lisa Simpson. If you're having a problem and you need someone to talk it over with, I'm your girl.
You Are 4% Republican
If you have anything in common with the Republican party, it's by sheer chance.
You're a staunch liberal, and nothing is going to change that! How Republican Are You?I love foreign languages, too, though I've recently realized my French now sucks! I also took Spanish and Arabic, just for fun.
I have a BA in psychology; I was literally one class from graduation to receive my Master's in Clinical Counseling when life made other plans for me.
My favorite job ever was counseling victims of domestic violence. My own counseling style is a blend of cognitive-behavioral, Rogerian, and Adlerian psychology. Be guided by your heart, but ruled by your head . . . it gets you through every time!
You Communicate With Your Ears
You love conversations, both as a listener and a talker.
What people say is important to you, and you're often most affected by words, not actions.
You love to hear complements from others. And when you're upset, you often talk to yourself.
Music is very important to you. It's difficult to find you without your iPod. How Do You Communicate?
I come from a very blue-collar neighborhood and I'm proud of where I come from. Labor unions rock . . . and I vote for whoever opposes NAFTA/CAFTA, and everythng thereafter, whenever possible.
I love to go out dancing. My favorite place to dance is the local goth club. However, it recently closed! Come back, Outland!!! You would be amazed at how friendly and fun the people are there. In Columbus, I enjoy going to Shakespeare in Schiller park, Comm Fest, and the Irish Festival in Dublin every year.
Free and Magickal Graphics by MyspaceMagick.comThe most unusual thing about me is that I'm both a christian and a wiccan priestess. Christianity offers comfort, solace, service to humankind, love, humbleness, and how to be a really good person. From wicca I get a reverent love of nature, tolerance, appreciation of this garden of earthly delights, and direct contact with ritual and the femminine divine.
James Foster postulates that as human beings develop spiritually, they let go of their narrow, parochial views and grow. They stop believing that only their religion can be "right," and begin to see God as a beautiful jewel cut with many facets, instead. Every facet is one of the religions of the world. Each is beautiful, but not a complete understanding of what deity is. That's what I believe.
My newest obsession is Second Life. It's an online video game where you can live out your "other" life . . . buying a house, decorating it, making friends from all over the world, dancing, living out your sexual fantasies, or whatever makes you happy.
I can be found in scarlet and grey every Saturday during football season, cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Go, Bucks! Michigan sucks! Thank you, Ohio State, for putting me through school!!! I love you eternally!

My Interests

This speech below is when I fell in love with our new president, Barrack Obama. The occasion was a response to the grievous remarks of Rev. Jeremiah Wright. But on the way, Barrack talked about race honestly -- a really rare event in our country. He said, basically, that we all have legitimate grievances on both sides, white and black. But we can spend our time being stuck in those old gripes, or . . . we can move forward, to solve problems, together. Thank God, we chose to move forward, together! America, you are so endlessly able to reinvent yourself in the face of challenge. I am so proud of you!We all are prejudiced in some way. It is actually a sad natural tendency across all cultures and nations, written in the need to protect our own tiny tribe as human animals. The only thing that distinguishes the person who builds a bridge across race, or creed, or gender, or creed, is if you LOOK for your own prejudices, admit them without shame, and CHANGE THEM when you find them. Can we really do that?! Yes, we can!Let's make this a new day.

You Fight Fair
For you, a fight is not about proving you're right.
Instead, it's about discussing and resolving difficult issues.
You don't look for fights, but you don't avoid them either.
You realize that clearing the air is good, when you go about it the right way. Do You Fight Fair?

I'd like to meet:

Christ, Edain McCoy, Gene Roddenberry, Martin Luther King, Jr., Jim Tressel, and anybody with an open mind.

Music:

My favorite band is Evanescence. I like stuff like Green Day, Disturbed, Wolf Mother, and System of a Down without knowing what they look like or who does what song. I love classical, opera, soundscapes, country, metal, hard rock, and new age especially. Music like Loreena McKennit, Enya, Metallica, Linkin Park, Pearl Jam, and of course classic stuff like Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and oooh, Heart, my very favorite!

Looking at Ms. Wilson reminded me of an issue I've been dealing with lately. I have something I wanna say about fat chicks: We rock! I hate to see other fat chicks hiding their beauty under dimmed self-confidence. Be sexy, be pretty, be a flirt . . . don't buy into prejudice or a bunch of media crap that invalidates you. :)

Loved Pride and Prejudice, Moulin Rouge, You've Got Mail, The Lake House, and my all time favorite, Practical Magick. Love anything with Chandler Chapman, of course!

Television:

Usually not worth the time it takes away from making love, walking your dog, or talking to your friends.

Books:

I enjoy fantasy and science fiction, books on witchcraft, counseling books, and lately, just a good beach book.
