Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, justice for all, happily ever after, the morning after. Learning to cook...daytrips...weekend trips...daydream trips..tripping the light fantastic. Web voyeurism, I love to peek into other people's lives. Old books, new books, foreign books.
Elie Wiesel, I want to talk to him and ask him what he thinks of God now. Jamie Oliver, cuz I think he needs a fat girl hug. People who can think independently and intelligently without miring themselves so deep in sarcasm that they forget to be real.

Rick Springfield...there, I said it. I like a little of everything from gangsta rap to bluegrass ballads. Different types for different activities. Devoted to Counting Crows since I first heard them. I love The Weepies, Ryan Adams at times, DMX, Timbaland, Indigo Girls, Melissa Etheridge, John Prine, Wheat, La Bottine Souriante, and the boy and I are a huge fan of a local artist, Mitch Barrett. Check out his space or on Rhapsody or Itunes.

Authors more than works, poets more than breath. Poets first and then the others: The holy Donalds: Donald Hall and Donald Justice, Rilke, Borges, Mark Strand, Baudelaire, Amy Lowell, Audre Lorde, D.H. Lawrence, Yeats, Lorca, Neruda. Then there is Marquez, and Borges again for his stories, and John Irving, and Thomas Hardy, and strangely Adriana Trigiani, Balzac, Joyce, C.S. Lewis, Shakespeare, Milton, Faulkner... Hemingway, but only for "A Moveable Feast." Eli Wiesel, Bonhoeffer, Cervantes, and Flannery O'Connor.
My mother...people who give a damn...Elie Wiesel, John F. Kennedy, Bill Clinton, Lech Walesa, Virginia Wolf, probably you.
