About Me

~ Sandwich Guards Website ~
With the 10th Illinois at Minooka, IL - October 2007
The Lamar Rifles at Conner Prairie, Indiana - May 2007
The Lamar Rifles at Chickamauga, GA - June 2007
I began Civil War reenacting with the 6th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry at the end of 2002 and participated with them until their demise at the end of 2004. I then joined up with the 11th Mississippi Volunteer Infantry "Lamar Rifles," and have been with them since. The Lamar Rifles are part of the Medich Battalion also. When I have the time I travel to Chicagoland to participate with the 10th Illinois Volunteer Infantry, whom I met while still with the 6th Wisconsin. In the past I have also done some artillery with the 1st Missouri Light Artillery and their full scale 10lb Parrots.
I used to participate in "hardcore" authentic reenacting with groups such as the WIG or AoP. But then I realized what a waste of time that was since none of them are any better than the farbiest of farbs. 90% of the "hardcores" couldn't even tell their right from left. Their only purpose was to go out and march as far as possible in a weekend and wipe with leaves because that somehow makes them superior to all other reenactors.
You can also see me in a couple films. If you visit the Stones River National Battlefield you can see me in the film they show at the visitors center. I'm also in a couple of the films produced by Wide Awake Films.
When I'm not reenacting I'm usually going to a dirt track. Most of the time I'm in the pits with Dennis Richards or Clay Baumann's race team. I've also designed the graphics for Clay's race cars for a few years now. My favorite track is I-55 Raceway but I've been so lots of tracks around the midwest. Farmer City Raceway and Tri-State Speedway are a couple other tracks I like to go to.
When I have the time (and money for ammunition) I also enjoy going to the shooting range. I shoot both modern guns and older black powder weapons.
You scored as Robert E. Lee, Honorable and courageous, you've made a career of winning great battles against overwhelming odds. You, um, might want to stay the heck out of Pennsylvania...

One thing I truly hate is walmart, and the filth of society that shop or work there. It's hard to believe there are people pathetic enough to patronize walmart. But then again most Americans now are mindless sheep.
