A mans eyes open to a place that is not his room, or his regular life he looks around to find that the large green trees above him cascade for miles. he stops and soaks in the wonder of these mountains that surround him with a surreal environment. this man realizes that he is finally home and at peace but that peace is short lived.
As a tree branch cracks not far from his present location as he turns his bearded face to see what has caused this the man looks upon a tremendous grizzly bear on its hind legs preparing to tear the man to pieces. the man is afraid, but only for a second, as his natural instinct kicks in, the bear opens its huge maws and lets for a roar that echoes as if from the pit of hell. The bear lunges at the mountain man jaws open, claws bared and gnarly teeth dripping with saliva, the mountain man moves away from the attack and gets himself a sturdy battle ready footing,
The adrenaline starts to flow, his heart is beating like a war drum, and his muscles tense as he prepares. the bear is now charging the man, its dirty fur rolling as its paws shake the earth, the man and the bear make eye contact a second before they collide. At this point the man has lost all fear and focuses on his enemy with blood lust he smiles as their bodies become a solid mass of death. The two creatures fight hand and paw, jaws and instinct until both are soaked in each others blood, and drained of energy. The mountain man and the bear realize the fight is not over until one dies. They both let forth a war cry that awakens all beasts of the earth.
At this point the sun has buried itself, and the demons have come out to watch this brutal battle. They snicker and laugh, hoping that this bear with more skull showing on its face then fur will destroy the man, for he carries with him something more than just human power. As the cry reaches the last part of the breath, the two begin to tear at each others flesh once again. The mountain mans fists are dripping with blood, but so is his chest. The bear rears once again and the man and bear go hand and paw, nail and claw, face to jaw in a final struggle of strength.........
These are the tales that provide inspiration for our music. We are RAWHYDE: six brutally passionate men playing music that will demolish strongholds and tear apart every yoke.
