Starting out in late 2005 under the moniker of Purgatory two young men came together to write metal that they felt could not be categorized. After writing a few songs the two decided to bring in a bassist and a singer to complete the band. With their long time friends Matt Cordato(Vocals) and Griffin McCabe(Bass) joined, polishing the sound that Max Kayajanian(Guitar) and Andy Joplin(Drums) had only dreamed of before. As time passed and shows were played they gained strength in their music and their stage presence . After almost two years of creating and learning they felt that another guitarist was needed to truly complete and fill the sound that they had imagined so long ago. After many try outs and many failed gigs with other guitarists, they found their new guitarist in Peter Wityak. As soon as they had found him they began playing shows everywhere and gaining recognition from many top players in metal. As of 2007 they recorded a four song demo changed the name to Call of Thousands and are just waiting to see what the metal world has in store for them...
