New OSCT EP set for fall release
Hollywood, CA – The metal mavericks of OSCT have announced the forthcoming release of a new EP. The album is being recorded in Bob's Basement and will hit the streets this fall.
“We're always writing new stuff so we can be more selective on which songs to use,” said one band member, assuring listeners that the album will be all top quality – no filler.
The Canadian band derives its name from the French phrase “On S'en Calisse Tu” because, says OSCT, “we don't give a shit – that's what OSCT means in French!”
There are currently no plans for the music to be sold. “We all work 40 hours a week. We don't want to sell our music,” according to OSCT. “We just want people to hear it.”
Each member of OSCT has been in bands before. With this coalescing of talent, the members decided to try something different, a focus that would be less on marketing a sound and more on personal artistic accomplishment.
“We've all had bands before,” said an OSCT member. “But this time we decided to make music for us first. And if someone else likes it, fine. But if not, too bad.” From this commitment sprang the decision not to sell the music. OSCT, the band members agree, is not out to “sell its soul.”
At least not for money. Rock 'n' roll is another story.
