Stalking Edgar ~ A Writing Project

I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

’Stalking Edgar’ is a new comedy (in progress) inspired by my own lame attempts at "stalking" director Edgar Wright. After finishing my latest script I immediately sent it off to his agent for consideration. When that was met with unadulterated SILENCE, I moved on to "Plan B".............er, that might not have been the best move, but did inspire this, my latest project! ============================================================ ====================================== Are you a budding writer/director/actor/lunch cart operater???? Well, then, you know how tough the film business is! When you’re unknown, you’re outta luck! But, for Lisa (our stalker!) she takes the business by the......well, let’s just say she shakes things up! Tired of rejections and the silence that all unknown writers come to know, she decides to become proactive and make them listen! Deciding on the one director she believes is accessable enough to get her work to personally - her harmless plan goes down a road that only leads to crazytown. Once a woman of sanity and reserve, she goes to places no one ever really should. But, all for the sake of the movies! ================================================ As the log line goes : The film business is tough......sometimes they leave you no choice!" ============================================================ ============================================================ ============================================================ ================ **Ok, now, with all of that said, I in NO WAY think that stalking is the way to get a film made. I never actually stalked Edgar (ask him yourself!) in the true sense. Bugged him with emails, yes! But, show up at his house or follow him around? NO! And, he’ll also tell you that I’ve assured him that this project is meant with love and respect and will not actually represent the real Edgar. I’ve never met Edgar Wright, but he seems like a nice guy. In any case, it’s way more fun to invent him rather than try to recreate him. So, don’t be offended by fake Edgar, if you should happen to know real Edgar. There is also *ahem* no attempts being made to DATE Edgar Wright! I can’t believe I even need to address that, but recently it was implied, so I must deal with it! He’s the inspiration for the film, but I’m not actually crazy! Sure, he’s really cute and seems quite do-able, BUT getting laid is so less important than making the film ** ============================================================ ============================================================ =========================== Now, with all that out of the way! I hope to build as much steam behind the film as possible now. My thoughts are of gaining attention that will lead to funding! This is truly a project for unknowns, so unless I sell out ((hey, it could happen!)) it’ll be made from top to bottom with unknowns. Please, join - comment - laugh - cry - refer us to friends and even join the future production! In the coming months we’ll need all the talent we can get!
