Out Walking
Arm in arm together we go; A greater joy we'll never know. Such fun we have on days like these. We amble and do as we please.
I trip! You laugh, and I laugh too!! For who would not when out with you! Amidst the billowing blossoms tall and beauteous boughs- we have it all!!!
You run and hide and I come seek, I tippy toe and try to sneak right up behind you! But I fail! You grin as we pick up the trail.
Dodging branches hanging low, strolling steadily and slow so as not to miss a thing, this first true sunfilled day of Spring.
Making paths through fern and grass And halting only when to pass is thwarted by some thicket wall. But we are not deterred at all!
Eventually we head for home by routes that we see fit to roam in random easy joyous style and beaming broadly all the while.
And as we reach our special place we suddenly pick up our pace. Most eager to return once more into our nest beyond the door.

Mud!

Permanence of Mind

I had stayed too long in the woods. Now the city raged around me like a Frenzied wave of colors, sounds, lives- All set in motion.  And I, like my serene wooded home, Was akin to a for...

Poison Words

I listen to your words and pretend that I'm a foolBut I know what is going on, I can't deny the truth.Lies so slippery they slide right through my hands.Words kill so slowly; My heart dies at your comm...

Just for fun

Bacardi Kisses If I allow my mind to wander, to the place it desires to go, it would take me to Bacardi kisses, ice-cold, passionate, and slow. With sliding mouths and trembling hands, throbbing heart...

In the Shelter of These Trees

In The Shelter Of These Trees Under draping oaken boughs, in the shadow of soft-scented pine, I waited. I could not count the times we met here in our secret place, where the forest curls twiste...

My first poem,

This was the first poem that I had ever written.  I had just watched the movie Black Hawk Down, and thought it would be interesting to write a poem from the soldier's perspective. This is NOT a p...
