BPB were born in 2004. They live, work, act and think in Genova, on the north west coast of Italy.
BPB feature ex members of such differents acts, from Genova's underground indierock scene, as Lo-Fi Sucks!, Cary Quant, A New Angel Fades, Sea From Green, Tupatipe, Protected By The Local Mafia...
BPB shared stages with El Guapo, Experimental Dental School, Mae Shi, John.Wayne.Shot.Me, Karate, Xiu Xiu.
AYC has been recorded, mixed and mastered at the end of March 2005 at Fiscerprais Studio in Pontecurone (AL). The producer was Rico from Uochi Toki, who already recorded Bugo, Altro and Ovo.
BPB are just about dancing to krautrock beats with some singing and some screaming, as if it was some sort of post hardcore outfit.
BPB original mixture of sounds has been build up and took inspirations from years of booking and attending countless gigs, from hours of talks with musicians from all over the world in after shows hangovers and diy productions. They do not simply support the scene, but (at least in Genova) they gave a big, tireless and generous help in creating it.

Matteo also runs the CDR label °Marsiglia° Records, that discovered lots of talented acts (Port Royal, En Roco, In My Room, K.C. Milian, Uber…).

BPB supports all the Analog Devices and the Aged Computer crews.
BPB play live Korg Ms-10, Korg Poly-800, Casio CZ100, Eko Tiger, Moog MF102, MXR Blue Box, Clavia Nord Lead 2, Korg Electribe ES-1, Korg Electribe ER-1, Micro Korg, Roland Sp303, and other crazy stuff, like a homemade theremin...
AYC's songs cover many issue as different as dance and protest, friendship and secrets, self consciousness vs self confidence, always focusing on everyone's rights and duties.
AYC's cover concept and title are made up mixing the legendary figure of Balilla, a kid who started a riot throwing a stone against the Austrian Army in Genoa, 5/10/1746, with the media hero who threw his camera trolley at Italy's Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, 31/12/2004. Reclaim your media, DIY way!
AYC stickers were freely distributed and glued around Genova in January, street art meets self-advertisement.
BPB were not, actually, "discovered" by Suiteside. The friendship with Matteo dates back in 2001, when he was LFS's keyboardist, and has been nurtured by many tours together, endless nights at the merchandising desk, lots of highs and a few lows.
Matteo, Alessandro and Martino spin records in various venues, being part of the No Stars Of The Jet-Set *Crew. More Info at http://nostars.arecool.net
Yes, BPB's drummer/keyboardist Alessandro is BPB's bass player Emanuela's younger brother.
