About Me

You can find out a lot about me from my profile. But other than that, I have been married for about 10 and 1/2 years. No children or animals, yet, but hopefully within the next 2 years that will change.
My husband is a paramedic, but has decided to go into respiratory therapy, so he still has another 2 months of school before he will finish his degree.
I am a nurse. I work at a local hospital in the ICU. It is so awesome to be able to help people get back to their families and their lives. It can be very stressful at times, but seeing people return to health makes it all worth it.
Other than that, I enjoy being outdoors. I like spending time with friends and family.
I am attempting to learn to play the guitar. This is my electric!
Gibson Epiphone Goth 400
I am here at MySpace to make friends and check out the music. There are so many groups or artists out there that have something to offer.
Check out the Dallas band RadioKing when you get the chance.

My Interests

I like SPORTS, FOOD, AND MUSIC, but not necessarily in that order!
I like to watch almost any sport at any level (pro, college, or high school) with football being my favorite, followed by basketball and then hockey.
As far as actually playing, it has to be volleyball.
I like to eat most foods (except liver - yuck!), and I like to try new things. I try to eat healthy, but I am definitely not a vegetarian; I don't think I could ever give up eating a good ol' American cheeseburger every now and then.
And music - Music can be such a powerful medium. Certain songs can bring back memories of happy times such as a high school prom or a wedding or can remind you of how tragic life can be (i.e. Elton John's "Candle in the Wind"). Music has the power to sway your emotions, to pick you up when your feeling down, to calm you after a stressful day, or if your in the mood, music can completely blow your hair back and rattle your bones.

I'd like to meet:

The Triplets (Emmitt, Troy and Michael)

Aerosmith!

Steven Tyler

Joe Perry

Bon Jovi

Music:

I pretty much like every genre of music except death metal and hard core rap.

Aerosmith is my favorite group. I grew up in the 80's and early 90's, so any big hair or metal band is cool - KISS, Poison, Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Metallica, etc.

I like oldies, too - Elvis, The Beatles, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry.

As far as more modern rock (mid 90's to present) - Seether, Incubus, Mudvayne, Avenged Sevenfold, The Prom Kings, Linkin Park, Evanescence, Sponge, Tonic, Stabbing Westward, Nickelback, Breaking Benjamin, 30 Seconds to Mars, and many more.

Pop Rock/R&B - Gwen Stefani, Usher. Rap (I like more old school than current) - LL Cool J, Run DMC.
Easy listening/Light Rock - Kenny G, John Tesh, Enya, Phil Collins, Simon and Garfunkel.
Christian - Rich Mullins, Steven Curtis Chapman, Avalon, Jars of Clay, Michael W. Smith.
Folk - Peter, Paul, and Mary, The Brothers Four, The Kingston Trio.
Country - Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, The Oakridge Boys.
Big Band/Swing - The Brian Setzer Orchestra, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, The Glenn Miller Orchestra.
Dance/New Age/Progressive - 4Strings, Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method, Yanni, Robert Miles, Bond.
As you can see, I like a wide range of music. There are so many more artists/groups that I like, but I think this is enough for now!

Movies:

Any kind of sports movie - Rudy, Hoosiers, Miracle, Major League, The Natural. Any Disney movie (I am a kid at heart). Any Star Wars movie (George Lucas rocks - more so 20 years ago than currently, but I don't blame him for trying). Any John Wayne or James Bond movie. (Sean Connery will always be the ultimate Bond man!) Any Bruce Lee movie. Most Action/Adventure or Western/mob movie - Bad Boys, True Lies, Top Gun, The Usual Suspects, The Untouchables, Tombstone. Comedy - Office Space, Stripes, Weekend at Bernies, The Ref, Spaceballs, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Caddyshack. Drama - With Honors, A Few Good Men, Hunt For Red October. And, of course, any sappy, girly movie - Pretty Woman, Titanic, Father of the Bride, Jerry Maguire.

Heroes:

GOD and anybody who proves that there is more to life than focusing on one's self - who uses his/her talents or gifts to help others (i.e. Lance Armstrong, Oprah Winfrey). Of course, it doesn't take a lot of fame or money; some local police officers and teachers are truly heros, too.
