Music (all kinds - especially Brit Pop and Americana), pop culture, travel (I'll go pretty much anywhere), road trips, concerts, languages (all of them esp. German, Japanese and Russian), exploring, architecture (esp. art deco), mid-century modern furniture, movies, old cars (1930's - 1970's), anything that moves really fast, BIG dogs, vegan restaurants, sarcasm, facial expressions, people's voices (I can't handle unfortunate voices), Mr. Schmitt, and good huggers (I don't trust bad huggers).
I'd like to meet people. Sure. You must love music. You must watch TV. You must see movies. You must travel. You have to have been out of the country at least once in your life (Canada and Mexico don't count). People who have never been on an airplane are just weird...or poor...but I'm the only poor person I need to know. You must be willing to drive 5 hours to go to a restaurant just because it was what you wanted for breakfast/lunch/dinner. You must be ambitious. You must love dogs...big ones. You must not be afraid to tell me the truth at all times even if it's not something I want to hear. I'll let you know when I want you to lie to me.

I have many books that look very pretty, and in some cases downright intelligent, on my bookshelf. I am excellent at reading books halfway through, but then I get distracted. I make up my own endings. There are so many possibilities. Then time passes. I think to myself, "I should really try to finish that." I pick up the book, I remember non-linear bits and pieces. I get frustrated. I start the book from the beginning again. I read halfway. I get distracted. I make up my own endings. I do love Oscar Wilde and Edward Gorey. Reference books that I can look at a million times and not feel bad for not remembering. Ghost World by Daniel Clowes. Vegan cookbooks. Travel guides (esp. Lonely Planet and Rough Guide).
Diversion rocks my world
