FROLIC

About Me

FROLIC formed in 1994 in Victorian Village, a central neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio. Early tracks consisted of shoegazed guitar and electronics, but then shifted more towards ambient, ethereal electronics with strummed guitarwork, always including the lofty vox of Kelly O'Brien.
In 1995 FROLIC signed to a small label called Velvet Empire, releasing their debut album "Permafrost". When Velvet Empire went under a year later, Frolic was offered a contract with Projekt Records, a label known for their ethereal and darkwave acts. In 2001 the band released their second album "To Dream, Perchance to Sleep", and to our suprise shot to ..5 in the Amazon.com list for the best New Age albums of the year!
Matt and Kelly of FROLIC relocated to Orlando, Florida from San Francisco, California where we are slowly but surely creating new music, traveling back to Ohio every so often to include the gorgeous guitarwork of Jon Beard.
We love hearing from fans around the globe and do promise some new music soon. Keep the beauty in yourself glowing!
