Sounds Like: various human beings creating soundwaves through the utilization of instruments such as gretsch, slingerland, ludwig, pork pie, leedy, dw, c&c, brady and yamaha drums, zildjian, paiste, and bosphorus cymbals, stringed instruments such as gibson les pauls, fender strats and teles, jerry jones custom danelectros, taylor, martin, gibson, and alvarez acoustic guitars, amplified by instrument amps such as marshall jtm45, sovtek mig 50's and 60's, orange tiny terror, epiphone valve jr, vox ac15, magnatone, gibson and sears-roebuck combos, and sometimes f'd up with pedals like RAT, matchless, and fulltone distortions, time based effects like line 6, electroharmonix, moog, and fulltone. these soundwaves converted to electrical energy by transducers such as coles, oktava, and royer ribbons, shure, ev, sennheiser, oktava, b.l.u.e. dynamics, and lawson, at, shure, oktava, soundeluxe condensor elements. these signals are pre-amplified to recorded level by preamps such as manley, neve, api, daking, altec, trident, joe meek, and sytek. often these signals are processed by compressors such as distressors, manley elops, art pro vlas, joe meeks sc2, dbx 160, alan smart c1, altec tube 438 and 6211's, and equalized by api, daking, trident and toft audio eqs. the signals are recorded generallly to digidesign protools software through apogee, lucid, and aurora converters. when the budget allows, an additional step of first capturing the soundwaves on magnetic tape as an analogous representation of their true nature in order to create more "warm" and "fat" sounds, is inserted before converting said soundwave representations into 1's and zero's. oh, sometimes reverberation through means of digital simulation, or large acoustic spaces, is added to the overall sound.
