------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------"Exuberant and unjustifiably cheerful, Luminous Family Trust will carry you away, as if suddenly you found yourself crowd surfing a densely packed Carnivale gathering after a long day's work." - The OwlMag ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------------- "A cool up-and-coming band from the East Bay that tempers their ska sound with punk and Afrobeat influences. They're a blast!" - ShowyMcShow ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------- "They know how to get a crowd on their feet and moving to their funkytown beats. If you get the chance to see them in your neck of the woods, run, don't walk!" - CDBaby ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------- ABOUT LUMINOUS FAMILY TRUST What do you get when mixing one part Swedish punk guitar, one part New Orleans trombone, one part Mexican trumpet, one part Motown bass, one wallop of jazz drumkit, a dab of high-fat keyboards and add a taste of Brazilian percussion??? A mouthwatering serving of Luminous Family Trust! The brass-heavy, rhythm-focused seven piece band from Oakland, California, was formed with the goal to create an all-inclusive, dance and freak out-happy atmosphere with their punkified world music. The members have backgrounds and current involvements with accordion folkpunkband Local Love Enforcement, New Orleans brass band Blue Bone Express, Brazil-fusion band Brazuca Brown, hip-hop crew UnSmokables, various salsa bands, Artisan brass ensemble, and they came together thanks to sweet timing, and their desire to play upbeat, course-edged, dance music.
