Ever since the age of 11 I've been a keen record buyer. It all began in 1973 when I bought my first 45 and by 1975 I was saving up pocket money to buy LPs. The teenage years found me enjoying the pleasures of Progressive Rock (Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd and E.L.P). In typical mixed-up and confused teenage style I also took delight from the punk scene (Clash, Ramones, Pistols). By my early-twenties it was the sixties scene (mainly Beatles, Stones, Buffalo Springfield, Love) that captured my imagination. As I got older, married with kids and chasing career paths, music remained a constant fixture in my life. Above all, it's the album that stands out as being the most important aspect of music. A few years ago, having read several Top Albums Of All-Time type books, I reached a conclusion that I should express my opinions on this issue. I decided to do something about it - write my own book! It's available to buy in printed (£10.00) or download (£5.00) format at www.lulu.com/greatestalbums.
