Jasper Erkens is a clearly gifted singer-songwriter from Diest. This upcoming fifteen year old talent writes songs that sound way more mature than his age might tell. His fingerpick style might remind you of great singer-songwriters such as Nick Drake and Bert Jansch.
At the age of 11, he got his first guitar as a gift from his folks and about two years later his first songs were conceived.
2007 has been a great year for him, as he was asked to be the support act of well known Belgian artists, such as singer-songwriter Anton Walgrave, Ronny Mosuse, the previous leader of the famous Belgian band; The Radios and even Adele.
Jasper has already played in well known venues as the Ancienne Belgique, het Depot in Leuven and in the Petrol in Antwerp.
