About Me

Although Rima have been passionate about music and singing ever since she was a little girl living in Indonesia and New Zealand, she only started to really sing in Brussels. First few gigs she had was with a band consisting of fellow Indonesian students living in the Netherlands (INDIGO) and upon meeting the Dave Wizzy Band (formerly known as the Monday Justice band) she sometimes guest sings with them. In December 2004 she started singing with the Brussels-based funk band "Seven of Millions" (7oM) and have since had several projects with various Belgian musicians. She sings a wide variety of styles of music, she is mainly influenced by the likes of Aretha Franklin, Randy Crawford, Annie Lennox, Stevie Wonder and Sade. But she is a very big fan of The Police, Queen, Genesis, Tears for Fears, Journey and so many other classic rock bands from the 70s and 80s. Her eclectic taste in music is what sets her apart from her peers, she has a love for music that transcends all barriers, whether music genre or musical era.At the moment she is collaborating with several recognized Belgian musician-songwriters. Her partnership with a young and upcoming Belgian keyboardist Fabio Picchi (www.fabiopicchi.com) will result in a tasteful and harmonious demo album to be recorded soon.Another project called "The Housepainters" with Ivan Nagels (The Housepainters), Ernst Vranckx and Oliver Adams (Praga Khan/Lords of Acid) is underway and when it's done, the songs will also be posted here. The style of music she is doing with all musician varies from easy listening, jazzy, blues to pop-rock.
