WHERE DOES LOVE START
Dead against it
I started my singing career in a small country church at Sonningdale, Saskatchewan at the age of seven. I have always loved gospel music and I would say that it is my favourite type of music next to country. I had a great introduction to country music by my brother-in-law Bill Kirkland, who was more like my dad. I spent many nights on the farm learning to play different instruments with him, and these were probably my fondest childhood memories.I grew up listening to the greats, like Merle Haggard (who is my favourite), George Jones and Marty Robbins. I also have a ton of fun doing impersonations like Elvis, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins and many other greats. It has always been a passion of mine to bring a touch of the older style of country music back into today’s contemporary world. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I have enjoyed writing and singing these songs. Les
