About Me

Hi, I'm a transplanted Iowan living in Chicago working as a nanny. I take care of two adorable girls who keep me extremely busy and on my toes. I love being in the big city and hanging out with my friends. Sadly, we all work so much so we don't get to hang out a lot. I love to travel overseas and have had the opportunity several times through my church and college. All of these trips, but plus the passionate messages on missions by my youth pastor have put the desire to go into missions some day. It is such an amazing thing to see how God works. I love meeting Christians all over the world. It is one of my greatest joys to encourage them in their faith. I love learning about other cultures as well. It's so fascinating how different we all are and in some ways, so much the same. On a much more shallow note, I love to watch tv. My favorite show is The Office. I didn't watch this show when it started, but now I'm completely hooked and going through the summer hiatus withdrawal. I also love Gilmore Girls. In January I was able to take a trip to California and toured the Warner Bros. lot where they filmed Gilmore Girls while I was there. It was a lot of fun to be in LA when it was so cold back home and everyone was freezing. I've been working on getting a life in the fall by trying to join groups. We'll see if any of it pans out.
