· Syrenity’s first step into the broadcast world is in 1999 as an Entertainment Reporter on Rogers Television2002 · Begins studying Journalism Broadcast Radio and Television at Seneca @ York College· First Industry internship @ Flow 935 (offered by Aisha Wickham) in the Newsroom with Spiria Fearon and also works on City TV/ Much Vibe music shows Rap City and Down Lo· For school break takes a vacation to Los Angeles, California to see the Lady of Soul; Soul Train Awards At the event lands a job with an Entertainment Management Company working with Jill Marie Jones (Girlfriends), Morris Chestnut (enough said), Rockmund Dunbar (Soul Food, Prison Break) and WC (rapper,Westside Connection) just to name a few This job op cut short when she gets word she is recipient of the Scholarship for Best First Year Journalism Student at Seneca @ York. An award that would pay for her second year of school. She ain’t no fool! Syrenity came back to Toronto and finished school.2003 · She doesn’t sleep at all working at The Weather Network, 680 News, Kiss 92 FM, CTV and hosts Let’s Talk a 30 minute talk show on internet television· Getting no sleep pays off. The Canadian Association of Black Journalists award her with a scholarship for her “pursuit of excellence in Journalism”. CHA CHING!$! With this money she starts to pay off her school loan for the first year of college.2004 · Syrenity gets some sleep.2005 · Re-enters television world working at SUN TV.· Free-lance writer for Your Word Magazine.· Believing in the power of music and entertainment she starts to volunteer with Elevated Grounds. A non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people through entertainment.2006 · Full circle, well rested and still tryin’ to pay off her school loan she is back at Flow 935 every Sunday 12am – 3am with risky sarcasm and sass- it’s Syrenity NOW!2007 Syrenity is selected out of 1000 applicants to be a Blogtv.ca Promotional host. A 2 month project through Alliance Atlantis, she hosts a live internet show from an H2 Hummer! Where will we see Syrenity next?
