Chris Cortland; akaJai Lov, was literally born into music. His mother, Gloria Sanford was an aspiring artist since before his birth. Despite her hard work and talent she went to be undiscovered. As the years passed she turned her hours of practice and attention over to her sons and taught them her knowledge of the industry in hopes of realizing that ultimate dream nearly two generations old.Later on Jai got into a series of groups, the latest and best being Mirage. Mirage had local success, they performed at local venues, one of which was the opening act for Boys II Mens, Wanya Morris. With Glorias passing shortly before Mirage forming, she unfortunately never got so see this group, later on Jai and brother Seyque started Phineqx Entertainment(PE), in her memory.Phineqx Entertainment to this day remains the most successful record label in the history of Lansing, Michigan. The 1st release entiteld PE 2003" sold over 4000 copies and various PE mixtapes sold well over 47,000 copies. Phineqx has since relocated to Los Angeles, CA where they continue making music soon to be heard on a national level...
