About Me

Kenneth E. Hagin was born on August 20th 1917 in McKinnley Texas. His father left when he was young, so his family was very poor, and he was usually sick and in bed. In 1933, he was miraculously healed of a deformed heart and a blood disease after believing Mark 11:23,24. For 12 years he pastored, then traveled extensively in the evangelistic field. The healing ministry began in 1950 with after receiving a divine commission to "teach my people faith" from Jesus. The founding of RHEMA Bible Training Center was another step in fulfilling that purpose. In 1963, the Kenneth E. Hagin Evangelistic Association was incorporated. The ministry offices were moved in 1966 to Tulsa, Oklahoma and a new era of growth. Rev. Hagin became increasingly in demand for public meetings and seminars ministering to people of all faiths. With growth, additional printed teaching materials were needed. So in 1974 Kenneth Hagin Jr. helped provide home Bible study plans and in response to the need for a school that would teach the principles of faith to those preparing for ministry. In 1976 the ministry and school moved to house the outreaches and students from across America who were coming for intensive training in the Word of God. In 1978 the name was changed to RHEMA and is now located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, a Tulsa suburb on the 110-acre RHEMA campus, consisting of 23 buildings including student housing. RHEMA training centers are in 16 nations. In 1979, he founded the Prayer and Healing Center to provide a place where the sick could come and have the opportunity to build their faith. Healing School continues to be held free of charge twice daily on the RHEMA campus. Kenneth Hagin went home to be with the Lord on September 19th 2003. He was 86 years old. He had continued to teach and write books right until the end, which have been an inspiration to millions of people throughout the world.
