Devoted Images - professional Surrey wedding photographer
I'm a twenty eight year old American photographer in London. I am very rarely apart from my camera. I have lived in the US, the UK, and Ireland and have made some incredible friends along the way.
I did all of the obligatory things, like went to Uni for photography. I have a piece of paper from Rutgers and several professional photographic society memberships. My work has appeared in advertising, modelling portfolios, and in wedding albums the world over....yes, I make the head of the photo department cry because I love to shoot weddings.
Weddings are passionate, full of emotion, and I absolutely adore being a part of someone's day. I have been blessed with the best clients who have their own, original personalities and ideas - not just "I picked it from a magazine!" brides - and have been very fortunate to have been invited to photograph these weddings.
In return for this, I provide my clients with high quality artwork that reflects their personality. I shoot both digital and film, using not only the latest in technology but also the unusual, the outdated, and the long-forgotten in technique to create something one of a kind for each of my clients. It's not just an album or a wedding picture - it's art. It's my pride, my passion, and my art.
I believe that there is more to wedding photography than pictures with your grandmother. Weddings are an art form unto themselves - every detail of every moment is carefully planned, religiously rehearsed, and choreographed to the hilt.
My job is to provide my clients with art that reflects this sense of individuality and that evokes the emotions that they felt on their wedding day every time they lay eyes on the finished product.
This is not your mother's wedding photography.
I could tell you how wedding photography is so much more than just a record of who did what on your wedding day - but you know that. What I will tell you instead is that it is the single most important part of your day; that the artwork I create for you will last your lifetime and be passed down to future generations. This is not your mother's wedding album! This is something unique, something different. Each client calls for a different approach, whether it's printing a 16x20 selenium print by hand in the darkroom or a modern, digitally designed storybook album. Each wedding has a story to tell; as an artist, it is my job to bring that story to the forefront and display it. Through my eyes, you will see yourself reflected at your best, on the best day of your life.
That is why I do what I do.
I have a website called Devoted Images . On this site, you can do things like read my "business blog", see a full wedding, and look at the galleries of some of my past work. This site covers weddings and engagements, though if you look at the blog you might catch a glimpse or two of my most personal work!
