SPIRALING IN A RADIANT RAINBOW OF LIGHT!!!!!!!

About Me

I am very bright, cosmopolitan, open-minded, independent, and unique. I am loving, loyal, and emotionally-intuitive in my relationships. Day to day, I'm serious-minded toward my career and life's responsibilities yet fun-loving and adventurous in my 'play' time. I revel in good music, free-flowing conversation, and other creative interactions.
I am an existentialist at heart and believe in understanding and seeking to experience the deeper meaning and symbolic aspects of day-to-day life. I also prefer to find the humorous and/or brighter side to life whenever possible and prefer the company of people who have a similar attitude about life.
Over my life so far, I have lived in 10 cities/towns across 5 states and 2 other countries beyond the U.S. and have traveled various and sundry places...and I'm always seeking more! Anybody for a road trip this weekend?
Some of my favorite experiences in life: Queso & Margaritas on a sunny afternoon, Grooving to cool music on the dance floor with a good buzz, Sleeping in on a rainy morning with someone special, Endorphin Euphoria from a strong, solid workout, A philosophical meeting of the minds.

My Interests

Peace, Love, Rock n Roll, & a Really FAST Car!
Meta-cognition, consciousness, philosophy, psychology, music, words, cats, friends, dancing, writing, traveling, working out, Yoga, Tex-Mex, Cirque du Soleil, Asian objects d'art, hiking, swimming, parties, local live music, festivals, sleeping, driving my car, photography, mountains, oceans, snorkeling, snow skiing, natural health, aromatherapy, concerts, restaurants, Sea Breezes, passion, life...

I'd like to meet:

I am primarily here for keeping in touch with old friends, making new friends, networking, and finding cool indie music.
In general, I enjoy people who are intelligent, open-minded, active, more liberal than conservative, and health-oriented. I value people who seek to gain knowledge and insight by everything they experience in the world more than "formal education." I have learned more from my life experience than all my years of schooling. I just like intellectual, artistic, and/or creative people because they inspire me to live in my own life with more meaning and expression. Although I have a very poised and confident demeanor, I also have an aspect of a closet dork who likes to let my hair down and be goofy, so it's always nice to hang out with someone who appreciates the juxtaposition of contrasts.
When dating, I am interested in an intelligent, tall, sexy, self-secure, emotionally-attuned guy (29-50), who's open to diverse ideas and new experiences. I am more compatible with someone who prefers to be out in the sunshine or out on the town 'til dawn more than sitting on the couch in front of the T.V. (Of course, the occasional evening of "take-out" and DVDs is cool.). I'm looking for someone who is not content with the status quo and believes in lifelong personal development and growth. Also, I'm attracted to someone who is socially adept and interpersonally savvy, yet who also has a solid, secure personal identity.
In a romantic relationship, I value open communication, honesty, intellectual connectedness, emotional intimacy, sexual chemistry, and a balance between "interdependence" and mutual respect for each other's independence.
Unless we have some intellectual commonality to share, I am not looking for e-mail pen-pals. I am primarily interested in bright and open-minded individuals, who are interested in interacting outside of cyberspace. I am open to meeting people of any age or persuasion if we resonate with one another, but I'm not looking for a BOY TOY! Thanks for the offers though. ;)

Life is not a problem to be solved but a reality to be experienced.

************************************************************ ********* The doors to heaven and hell are adjacent and identical.
Nikos Kazantzakis - "The Last Temptation of Christ"
************************************************************ ********** Real love, genuine love, requires two individuals consciously choosing to care, not out of need or fear, but from a sense that this 'other' expands our universe rather than just making it safe.
Nancy Friday - "The Power of Beauty"
************************************************************ ********** If the doors to perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite.
For man has closed himself up till he sees all thro' narrow chinks of his concern.
William Blake
************************************************************ ********** There is no human condition comparable to love for making one accept the burden of suffering for the other. This may seem strange to those who suppose love must unfailingly bring happiness, but that is the illusion we create for ourselves in order to survive the interminable hours of suffering. Only those we love can make us suffer with the same intensity that we love.
Aldo Carotenuto - "Eros and Pathos"
************************************************************ ********** Worry never robs Tomorrow of its sorrow; It only saps today of its joy.
Leo Buscaglia - “Born for Love”
************************************************************ ********* Your friends will know you better in the first minute you meet than your acquaintances will know you in a thousands years.
Don’t be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, After moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.
Richard Bach - "Illusions"
************************************************************ ********** Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
- Mark Twain
************************************************************ ******** Something...happens to a lover in the throes of desire. The external points of reference are gone. Love takes us off the beaten track, away from what we have long known; the realities we now encounter must be continually interpreted because they have no models in our past.
Aldo Carotenuto - "Eros and Pathos"
************************************************************ ******** Work like you don't need money,
Love like you've never been hurt,
And Dance like no one is watching.
