I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am a Scotsman one hundred percent as far as I can tell, born and bred in Uddingston near Glasgow and now live in Bothwell. Just along the road! I was 16 in the summer of 69 unlike a certain Canadian singer who shall remain nameless.(he was 10!) I was in the army for 13 years "it doesn't make me a bad person!" also worked in local authority for 19 years "ditto"... I love Scotland its history, geography, culture and its people. When time, money and weather permits I love to ride around Scotland on my motorbike (its a Yamaha FZS 600!) and visiting castles and other places of historic interest and taking in some of the best scenery around. When I do, I like to take photographs and have added some of them to my profile (well over 200 at last count!) which I hope you will enjoy. Also there are a lot of good videos in my favorites.. My politics are definitely Scottish Nationalist I only hope to live to see Scotland an independent and proud country.. As I mentioned I enjoy Scottish culture and I am a member of The Society of William Wallace and Na Fir Dileas a historic interest group. So I attend a quite few battle commemorations and usually post a blog regarding them. Also I am very lucky to have a friend with a highlandwear business who helps me buy lots of kilts and accessories at reduced cost. (Thanks Mike!) So you will se lots of photos of me in my kilts both modern and period. So please take a look around and I hope that you enjoy it and return for many visits. Yours Aye for Scotland. ian
