It is the mission of this administration to solve our great state's budget crisis! There have been other times in our history when we were faced with such a crisis. Have no fear citizens of the state of the overtaxed! We know how to get rid of such a surplus and get back to a shortfall in no time. First off we will not be giving our employees a raise if we can help it, they had a merit raise 5 years ago. We especially will not be paying those sniveling types over in health and human services, who cares if they handle over 200 cases each. I say that they can do better, and they will because we will be giving more money than ever to those that don't work. In fact it is my intention to release a pilot program to give food stamps, ADC, and any other type of assistance to anyone willing to quit their job, stay home and raise more children who will depend upon our system throughout their lives. Yes we will also "CONTINUE" to give food stamps and free health insurance through the medicaid program to the children of Illegal Immigrants and use this surplus to "CONTINUE" to pay the fines to the Federal Government. The public should understand of course that in an effort to increase funding for new assistance programs for those that will require continued financial assistance throughout their lives and hopefully their children's lives, their will of course be a need for increased funding. This administration seeing that it would be ludicrous to stop giving these most productive members of our society the money that they so desperately need, is exploring alternatives to tax hikes. What alternatives you ask? Since it is part of the union agreement that we cannot reduce the pay of state employees we have found that if we simply pass on the cost of health care to the employee by upping their premiums and offering less options (Based on zipcode of course) and insurance that costs us less we will save millions even if the supreme court rules that they should get their raises.
