I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

To sum me up in a few small lines…. I am a writer, vegetarian, amateur photographer, art lover, world traveler, wannabe painter, sometime actress, literature geek, coffee addict, animal lover and a someday soon English teacher. Born and raised in Hawaii but have lived all over the states. I love the outdoors and very much enjoy camping out on the beach. I like to think that I am incredibly open-minded, accepting and compassionate. My life is my own and I live up only to my expectations. I am a very diverse person both ethnically and in personality. My dreams are important to me and I do my best to pursue them.
Seek peace and understanding

“Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.”-Martin Luther King Jr.
WHEN you are old and gray and full of sleep
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true;
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face.
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead,
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.
- Yeats
Lift not the painted veil which those who live
Call Life: though unreal shapes be pictured there,
And it but mimic all we would believe
With colours idly spread,--behind, lurk Fear
And Hope, twin Destinies; who ever weave
Their shadows, o'er the chasm, sightless and drear.
I knew one who had lifted it--he sought,
For his lost heart was tender, things to love,
But found them not, alas! nor was there aught
The world contains, the which he could approve.
Through the unheeding many he did move,
A splendour among shadows, a bright blot
Upon this gloomy scene, a Spirit that strove
For truth, and like the Preacher found it not.
-Shelley
This is the story of America. Everybody's doing what they think they're supposed to do.-Kerouac
