He was previously known as Eric Tchort, founding member of the band Tchort, one of the cornerstones of Torontos Metal Scene. During Tchorts reign they performed with the whos who of the metal world, Kyuss, Sepultura, Quiet Riot, King Diamond, and Yngwie J. Malmsteen to name a few. After much success Tchort morphed into two new bands. The Illuminati and Cloven Blade, of which Ash was the singer. Cloven Blade went on to record a full-length album that never saw release despite its critical acclaim.This brings us to our latest incarnation, Ash Lee Blade. An all-star heavy metal line up hell bent on world domination. The band has recently finished recording its debut effort with Torontos Boomtang Boys (Bif Naked, Econoline Crush). A rather unlikely choice in producers for a hard rock/heavy metal band. Mr Blade recently commented, I am intrusting something very sacred to me, Heavy Metal, and placing it at the mercy of famed dance producers The Boomtang Boys. I know this sounds insane, but wait until you hear the final product.The current line-up features A.L. BLADE (Vocals), NECRO HIPPIE (Bass), newcommer D.D. MURLEY (Guitar) and currently Ryann (JUNIOR) Tunn on Drums. This is by far the strongest line-up to date. Mr Blade was very selective in securing the best musicians possible for what is to be known as a hostile heavy metal take-over. The debut EP will be ready for a late January/early February release. Then it will be up to all of you to ensure that the gospel of heavy metal be heard across the lands and over the seas.
