About Me

Sorry for the poser pic a friend of mine shot in Cambodia, but it is the only one I just found.. I am a boring old fart (born 1971) from Germany and my english is shit, but I try my best.. I grew up in a small village surrounded by woods, hills and some castles, mutated into a punk in the middle of the eighties, and studied law because of idealistic thoughts that it would be important that also non-conservative people like me are into that..i graduated, but never worked in that direction, I am booking concerts and organised festivals since 15 years but mainly I work as a music journalist. I lived in several German cities and now I am about 20 km south of Frankfurt..

My Interests

Music, travelling planet earth, nature, reading good books, have fun with friends, get drunk on open air festivals...

I'd like to meet:

Gandhi, Jim Morrison, Rudi Dutschke, Stanley Kubrick, Nico from Velvet Underground and some others... unfortunately they are all dead (maybe in my next life ;-)
I am always interested to get in touch with intelligent & honest personalities with an open mind - REAL people

Music:

I like a lot of different stuff from Portishead to Krautrock to Cradle of Filth to Driller Killer to Beethoven or Dead Kennedys and Vorkriegsjugend...but I LOVE hard and intense stuff (especially live) like Neurosis or Isis...

Movies:

All from Stanley Kubrick (especially Clockwork Orange), I like Quentin Tarrantino movies (especially Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs), movies from David Lynch or Jim Jarmush (especially Dead Man), Lars von Trier, David Fincher (Fight Club) or Darren Aronofski (Requiem for a dream)...

Television:

I do not watch TV too often, it eats your lifetime and makes you stupid

Books:

To drop some names out of many: Hermann Hesse, Hubert Selby, William S. Burroughs, Hunter S. Thompson,Irvine Welsh, Max Goldt...

Heroes:

All people who risk(ed) their life for a better world (Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Sophie Scholl...)
