SESSION-The Darkside of Drum & Bass hatte im Oktober 2006 ihre Pemiere!Damals lief die Party noch unter dem Namen "SESSION-The art of Drum & Bass,was sich aber nach ca 1,5 Jahren änderte.
Diese heutige Party setzt sich diversen Djs zusammen: Dj M.I.C(SESSION/High Duty Bashment),CORESPLITTAZ(Intransigent rec./Pressure Chamber/Section 8/),SELECTA(Shake up/Double Impact/) & DON K-Li(High Duty Bashment/Bassblüten) & MC TEMPER(Close 2 Death rec./Kings of the Jungle,Bremen) !Natürlich wirken noch viele,viele andere nette Leute im Hintergrund,die SESSION-The Darkside of Drum & Bass erst möglich gemacht haben!
Das Konzept unserer Veranstaltungen ist ganz einfach: KEINE PARTY IST WIE DIE ANDERE!
Wir möchten Drum & Bass in vollen zügen geniessen und präsentieren!Das Spektrum an den dieversen Arten dieser Musik ist gross und wir versuchen alles unter einen Hut zu bekommen um jedem etwas zu bieten!Im gross und ganzen konzentrieren wir uns trotzdem mehr auf Darkside,Neuro,Hardstep und Breakcore,da unsere Vision vom heutigen Drum & Bass Sound in diesen musikarten verankert ist."SESSION-The Darkside of Drum & Bass" findet leider nicht regelmässig,sowie in diversen Locations statt und hängt meist von den freien Terminen der Kölner Drum & Bass Szene ab.Termine und Veranstaltungsorte werden aber früh genug bekannt gegeben.
Natürlich darf die Show nicht in den Hintergrund gelangen und so bemühen wir uns vielseitige Künstler mit ins Geschehen zu bringen wie zb: Feuerspucker,Percussionspieler,Gitarristen,Gast Djs,Mcs und Vjs oder auch mal einen zweiten Floor der mit anderen elektronischen Styles die Leute unterhält!Aber hier erstmal ein paar infos zu unseren einzelnen Resident Djs:******************************DJ M.I.C****************************
Dieser Junge Mann ist der Veranstalter und Gründer der "SESSION-THE DARKSIDE OF DRUM & BASS" Partys.Der Schwerpunkt seiner Musik die er auflegt liegt im NEURO,DARKSIDE,Hardstep & BREAKCORE sowie HARDCORE Drum&Bass Bereich! Er Veranstaltet seid 2006 die "SESSION-The Darkside of Drum N Bass" Partys und ist seid 2007 mit DON K-LI,MC TEMPER & MC GM sowie Dj HAPTIC Resident der "HIGH DUTY BASHMENT" Partys im Bogen 2/Köln!Zusätzlich veranstaltet er mit SELECTA von den SHAKE UP/Double Impact/Bommbastic Plastic & Blow Partys,in der "VIC" COCKTAILBAR/Köln auf der Friesenstr.12 jeden ersten Donnerstag im Monat die "LIQUID BASS LOUNGE" im Sinne von House,Funk/SOUL & Drum & Bass.Zukünftig wird man auch auf den "NANTA" Partys von ihm hören,die von der Crew "JUNGLE SURFER" organisiert wird und für den absoluten Hardcore,Breakcore &; Raggacore Drum & Bass steht.Ebenso ist er bei den Double Impact Partys im Sensor Club ein fester Bestandteil geworden,die von Dj X-Plorer,Selecta & Mc Youngblood residiert werden.BOOKINGs :

********I was born 1978 in Mexico-city. My grandfather -Salvador Contreras- was a very famous componist of classic in latin america, so I got in touch with music very soon. Because I..ve got a german background(german mother), I spent quite all the time of my life in germany. With djing I started in the age of 14 or 15 (don..t really remember) with first experiences with the hiphop-band Pantoc (later lyroholika). Than I turned to the electronic style of music. With the influence of my patchwork brother X-plorer, I came in contact with the breakbeats. And the first Underground-Jungle and breakbeat Parties in Cologne ( the cosmic orgasm Parties in the 90s) made me a drumandbass-lover ...But I never lost the interest in the roots of electronic music. So I became a drum and bass dj and also a funk,Soul and hip hop dj. Concerning d..n..b I played alongside many protagonists of the scene like Matrix,Subfocus, Black Sun Empire, Futurebound, Chris Su, Moving Fusion, Cause4Concern, Phace, Vicious Circle, Syncopix, Rawtekk, SKC,....My first productions I made together with Mr Caypax. In this case I am also eventpromoter and organise or suborganise projekts like double impact, boombastic plastic, Dschungelfieber, shakeupsession, funkadelic,lowd, blow.... This is hardcore drum n bass music from Cologne, Germany. My personal vision of 21th century DnB.
I like to use completely synthetic sounds modulated and changed by huge fx rows, combined with fast beat patterns and ill breaks n edits. It should be hard, dark, agressive and fast. But i always like to experiment. During the last few years I worked together with artists like DJ G-I-S, Diz:Play or Norman Wax and also did a track using the vocal talents of Jenny. My tunes are signed on Darkland-Recordings, Pressure Chamber, Virtual Giana Brotherz Recordings, Intransigent Recordings and Section 8.
