Drummer Jelmer Olsman started drumming in the band called Main,
he quitted the band after finding out this wasn’t the path he wanted to walk on musically.
Guitarist Dimitri den Elzen (Resume, Wings of Desire) asked him
to start a band with him with guitarist Lucas van Lunteren and
bass player, Hylke de Jong and a vocalist Lisanne Hakkers.
The band was called Wings of Desire. After two performances the band decided
to go with another vocalist; Djolien Broekhuizen.
Two performances followed and then the band broke up. Lucas, Hylke
and Jelmer decided to go on and they started their own band,
which carried the name Lazybones. They organized a hand full of sessions and
within a few months, they created 5 tracks. They recorded 3 out of the
5 instrumental tracks at Studio 4205. Continuing the search for the right vocalist.
Songwriter and vocalist Thomas Koolmees (Conflict or Coherence,
Visionairy Vanguards and former co-frontman DivaDown) heard the songs,
got interested, and decided to join up (Timo, wise ass! ;) ) with the band,
which from then on continued under the name Dubio.
They got together and finished two entire tracks, including lyrics.
After 3 months, they finished 6 tracks, with lyrics.
Working their way towards a planned 8 track EP demo.
From that moment, Dubio performed at The Nieuwe Doelen in Gorinchem Zuid-Holland and at The Xinix in Nieuwendijk.
The band is currently working on 2 new tracks for their upcoming 8 track EP, vocal recordings will start on the 8th of juli at 4205 records.
