About Me

http://www.drumloud.com
I've been playing the drums as well as a variety of other percussive instruments since I was eight years old (30+ years). I was fortunate enough to have had two great instructors over the years; local Seattle drum legend Bill Kotick and Tom Collier. Tom has been the director of percussion at the University of Washington. I bring a mature rock-solid beat to a variety of music genres and styles including Rock, Jazz, Latin, Brazilian, and Samba. I have a good ear for pitch and a pretty good voice too.As a musician I want to continually explore and improve my creative vision and sound. I strive to constantly innovate and experiment with my instrument to create sounds that resonate within me, and hopefully in others as well. Lately, I have been exploring polyrhythmic and odd-time beats by some of the greats (Peart, Minneman, Roach, Rich, etc...), and creating a few myself. I am constantly examining my own rhythm "voice" so that I can become a better drummer.Currently playing with:Certain Inertia - A Modern American Rock group inspired by all genres and eras, predecessors and peers. Vocally, they bring to the table both power and grace, and execute both with style and sensitivity. Enjoy the ride.* Peter MacMillan - Guitar/Vox
* Beast - Guitar/Vox
* John - Bass
