Born of both Scottish and Italian blood into a musical family, Pamela was born in Scotland and has lived there all her life. Starting her musical career at the tender age of 5, Pamela studied organ with Ayrshire tutor Billy McEwen, progressing to piano with Molly Gray and later, Loveday McBlane. Having achieved LTCL Grade 8 in Pianoforte and ABRSM Grade 5 Theory at 15, Pamela decided that she was destined for a professional career in music and went on to achieve a BA hons in Applied Music at the University of Strathclyde. Here she studied jazz piano with Andrew Gordon, and wrote, recorded and produced her first album 'She Wears Black'.
Pamela then spent some time working as an Instrumental Instructor for North Lanarkshire Council and The Bellshill Music Academy. She also fulfilled a post as a Rehearsal Pianist at the Dance School of Scotland. The offer of a contract with Royal Caribbean then arose and this saw Pamela set sail to shores afar working as a professional musician onboard MV Monarch of the Seas in Los Angeles.
Other achievements to date include contracts with Thomson Holidays, Park Dean and Haven Holidays, The Erskine Theatre Company, Denny Civic Theatre, The Tron Theatre, BBC Radio 2, WAM TV, Scaredycat Inc Pictures, James Watt College, the Le Mans Jazz Festival, Hilton Hotels, Gillingham Football Club, The King's Theatre.
Now back on dry land, Pamela's main focus is the Giordano School of Music, a self-created,self-owned business. As well as having ownership of and directing all matters G.S.O.M, Pamela works for Centrestage Theatre Company as a vocal coach/musician. She performs with various showbands and function bands at the weekends, on both keyboards and lead/backing vocals. She also works as a cocktail pianist and church organist.
