For Autumn/Winter 2007, Mulberry teamed up with the illustrious illustrator Julie Verhoeven to create a collection that will make people re-think the term “Classic British.â€
The collection consisted of a collage of sultry, feminine line portraits and thorny rose drawings that find their home on a selection of seasonal must-haves. From a fitted t-shirt to a voluminous silk shirt dress; a canvas tote to a quilted shopper; and a quirky key ring to a luxurious scarf, this concise collection manages to cover all fashion bases.
On September 16th, London Fashion Week saw the launch of the collaboration when a unique ‘pop-up’ store made a three week appearance at 199 Westbourne Grove - Mulberry‘s Notting Hill branch. The fantasy world of Julie then moved to Mulberry’s Bond Street store in time for the Frieze Art Fair in October.
The collaboration doesn't end there! Julie has since painted our new Leeds store - so if you are in the area, please visit to see her work up close.
She has also designed a new set of products for Mulberry - a line of t-shirts, ties, cufflinks and key rings - all featuring a michievious gang of animals. So, once again, you can carry a piece of Julie with you at all times.
