DJ PINKY'S BIOI have been DJ'ing since 1986!!!! Yea that's right since I was 5....lol. I am currently DJ'ing for SUGA FREE (3 years), BANGLOOSE (2006), The GENERALZ (2006) and KGGI 99.1 (Clear Channel).I started in the group called "THEE CAPAZITY BOYZ" (SGV's best) in 1986. Louie Lust, who also DJ'ed, was the one who really got me interested in DJ'ing. It took me 20 minutes to learn how to DJ and I haven't stop since then. A lot of people have come and gone and TRIED to come back again but I have seen it all, along with guys like Luis Romo (formerly of Players After Dark & Optica) he is still doing it BIG. Congrats on all his success....Thanks Luis for everything!!!The guys (CAPAZITY) that I hung out with all DJ'ed like: Alex Blockhead, Mario Bozzani (aka Dr. Zapp), Christian (excuse me..the 21 & over), and one of my favorites of all time The 21 & over sounds of Manifique (Phil the Hound).I played at almost every club that you can think of...The Casa Camino Real, DQ's Downtown, DQ's (Olympic & Soto), Rudy's Pasta House, Red Onion, Brandy's, The Rock of the 80's (Pico Rivera Sports Arena), The Copacabana, Kennedy Hall, Marilyn's, Mr. J's (along with the Lengendary Lucky Pierre), Hong Kong Cafe, Caddies (and now I play Golf there), Papillon's, CSO Hall, VFW Hall (Baldwin Park), Florentine Gardens (El Monte & Hollywood), Alexandria Hotel, Golden Fountain, Club 47, Disco 88, Kamtong's, Michael's, Frenchy's I & II, Rock The Lot, The Patio, The Center (La Puente), Mi Hacienda, El Castillo's, DES Hall and that was just in the 80's. And if there are any that I forgot please send me a message to let me know, thanx!!Then in the 90's I played at Fantansia, Pepper's, Wings, QC's, Club Vasillon, Grand Ave, Picaso's, The Shout, The Hop (Industry), Safari Bar, Rosey's, 4th Dimension, Flamingo's, Billboard Live (now Key Club), The Mayan, Vertigo's, Club Level's, The Muse, The Good Bar, Club Rio, La Mirage.As we entered the turn of the Century I thought of hanging up the records, slipmats, headphones, etc but I kept getting better gigs. I started playing on 92.7 KKUU out in Palm Springs doing the 5 o'clock Traffic Jam Monday-Friday with The Latin Lover. From there I was playing at the House of Blues (downtown Disney), The Century Club, The Roxy, Monroe's in Beverly Hills, The Polo Club (Peppers 2000), Club Blue, The Hop (Lakewood), Camacho's, Ibiza's, Carlos O'Brien, Scoreboards, The Cellar.And now I have the honor and priviledge of Mixing live on the air on KGGI 99.1 on Friday's from 10pm-12mid on the 'Friday Night Get Down Mix' and The Ol' Skool Mix from 5pm-6pm every Sunday afternoon right before the Art Laboe Show. I have to say thanks to all the people that have had a part in my success because without there help I still wouldn't be doing this.
