Ratatat-2 was born on April Fools Day of 2007. After Mike Locasio's (the owner) success with the Kingston shops Ink Inc and The Body Shop, he decided to expand his "Ink Empire" with the growing customers as well as the addition of artists. Its mainly comprised of Shaun L. Smith the tattoo artist and Lisa Lynds the piercer.Shaun (myself) was raised in Kingston where he persued art through high school. He continued his education at Columbia-Greene Community College where he recieved his Associates in Fine Art. Later, he moved to Savannah Georgia for 3 years to obtain his Bacholers in Fine Arts with a concentration in Sequential Art. After graduation and a 3 month apprenticship with Mike at Ink Inc, he began his full time work in the tattoo business, aside from commission art work done outside the shop.Lisa's info later...We are located at 57 Broadway in Tivoli, NY. The studio is normally open on Tuesday through Saturday from 2pm til 9 or 10pm.
