Hi everyone. I'm Matt and this is an effort to get some exposure as a songwriter and soloist. I am currently the singer/guitarist for Temporary Lives, and i love my band. But, i also love (as all my close friends know) to just sit and play on my acoustic guitar. Honestly most of the music i write for Temporary Lives is written on an acoustic. What i like about doing the acoustic thing as opposed to my band is that i can take my time, relax, and draw people in more with the vocal and melody more than with the riff.
I was born in Texas on June 8, 1982. I grew up though in Pulaski NY. My first taste of playing an instrument was in the elementary school band, where i learned saxophone. I did that for a few years but then gave it up, (playing sax in school band isn't the coolest thing). Soon i got it in my head that i was going to be a rock star and have my own band, and i would become rich and famous and everyone would love me. Well not quite. But at the age of 13 i got my fist electric guitar, started a band with two good friends, and haven't stopped yet. I feel i am a very emotional man. I don't show it really on the outside, but i do try to express it in my music. Well enough talk. Check out my music and i hope you enjoy. If you want to see a live performance, you can catch me around a bonfire or at that late night party, probably playing a weezer cover or something.
