I-L Twice AKA Anthony Rowe was born and raised the diverse San Francisco Bay Area of California. As a young man, I-L was saturated in the sounds of LL cool J’s “Radioâ€, and from first listen, would forever carry the mantra, “I cant live without my radioâ€. As I-L Twice’s addiction for Hip Hop music grew, he began stealing tapes from his older brother to support his habit. At age 8, I-L was exposed to a range of music, spanning from Gang star to Eazy-E to E-40. With so much exposure to so many different types of Hip Hop, it seemed like a natural progression, when I-L began free-styling and writing rhymes with his long time friend, QP.
From the beginning it was apparent that I-L possessed the uncanny natural ability to evoke emotion from listeners through his lyrical delivery. By age 16, I-L was fluent in the language of emceeing, and began his quest to perfect his ability and climb in the ranks as a MC.
After making several tapes, which circulated around his neighborhood in the south bay area, I-L become known as one of the illesst emcees around. At age 19, I-L moved to San Diego in order to pursue educational goals. While in SD, he hooked up with Spencer Neeze of “Jupiter Risingâ€, as well as Joe â€Dirty Kid†Knox, and together the trio formed a group called “Stereo Scienceâ€. Shortly after their formation, Stereo Science released their first and only Album, entitled “ The Elementâ€. I-L returned home to the Bay with sharper skills and a thirst to make more records. In mid 2005, I-L linked with Swedish Producer Prov P, and recorded the classic album ‘Long Range†entitled so because the duo never actually met completing the whole album over the internet. Coming off the successful Long Range Album, I-L is gearing up to release the “Planet of the Apes†Mixtape, followed by the long awaited LP entitled “GoRealla Muziqâ€.
